Background:
Dr. Roger De Filippo is an assistant professor of urology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and an attending surgeon at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Before joining USC, Dr. Filippo completed both a research and a clinical fellowship in tissue engineering and pediatric urology at the Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School. De Filippo oversees the Laboratory for Organ Regenerative Research and Cell Therapeutics in Urology at the Saban Research Institute at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. He and his colleagues are actively pursuing research in the area of stem cells and regenerative medicine along with cell therapeutic modalities for the treatment of acute and chronic kidney disease.
