Background:
Dr. Nuno earned his medical degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara and further post-graduate studies at the University of California, Irvine. He received his general surgery training at the University of California, San Diego, and his cardiothoracic surgery training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He also completed further cardiac surgery training at the Texas Heart Institute (THI) with Denton Cooley, M.D. Dr. Nuno joined the USC Faculty in 1995. Dr. Nuno served on the Committee for the Board of Physician Assistant Testing in the Department of Quality Assurance.
