Background:

Dr. Gumbs received her first BS degree in chemistry from the University of Manitoba in 1989 followed by a second BS degree in cytology from Loma Linda University in 1991.  Dr. Gumbs then decided to pursue her medical degree, obtaining an MD in 2002 from the UC Davis School of Medicine.  Focusing on obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Gumbs enrolled in an internship and residency-training program at White Memorial Medical Center.  Dr. Gumbs is currently Visiting Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
