Background:

Dr. Bonyadlou received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and went on to do an internship in surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He worked as a staff research associate in teleradiology at UCLA, then went on to do his residency in nuclear medicine at the LAC+USC Medical Center, and received board certification from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Bonyadlou then completed his PET Fellowship at USC and joined the staff at USC as assistant professor of radiology. His research activities in nuclear medicine have produced 23 abstracts, 6 presentations, 2 book chapters, and 3 scientific presentations and have been awarded the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Award for his research. He is currently principle investigator of a lung cancer research project through the American College of Radiology Imaging Network. He is actively involved in new treatment modalities including SirSphere therapy which he jointly established at USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
