The Department of Dermatology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking applications for two full-time board certified dermatologists at the level of assistant or associate professor. We are searching for an individual who has demonstrated excellence in teaching, patient care, research and administration.
Specifically, the candidate’s opportunities include:
1. Medical Dermatologist: The USC Dermatology Training Program is currently fully accredited by the ACGME and consists of nine outstanding residents. This position requires between 20-30% of the incumbent’s professional time devoted to resident education, teaching and curriculum development. Previous experience as a program director or associate program director is highly desirable.
2. Director of Pediatric Dermatology: The incumbent would lead Pediatric Dermatology at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. Board certification in Pediatric Dermatology is required.
3. Clinical Investigator: We are seeking an individual who is interested in patient care; teaching and participating in clinical research in skin cancer and melanoma in a large metropolitan area with a patient capture population exceeding 10 million inhabitants. The research component of this position will be supported by collaboration with the Department of Preventive Medicine, which is currently ranked first in the nation in NIH funding.
